Ajiri means “to employ” in Swahili and Ajiri Tea Company creates employment for women in rural Kenya. Each box of Ajiri Tea is handcrafted by women in western Kenya using local natural materials. The award-winning teas are predominantly grown on small-scale farms within Africa. 100% of the profits from the sale of Ajiri Tea goes back to Kenya to pay school fees, living supplies, and provide enrichment programming for orphans.
